Kate Hemingway Media Limited | Transforming complex narratives into authentic, strategic stories
Kate Hemingway Media Limited specialises in the production of high-impact, human-feature video content. She transforms complex narratives into authentic, strategic stories for charities, businesses, individuals and organisations. By bridging the gap between traditional broadcast standards and modern digital consumption, she helps organisations communicate powerful messages with integrity and purpose.
Kate received support through the Thrive programme.
Challenge/ opportunity
With over 20 years’ experience in the media, including senior production roles at ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Kate brings extensive expertise across health, education and crime. Working in these sensitive settings requires a strong understanding of duty of care, legal and compliance frameworks and the ability to build trust. Her experience includes filming in active COVID‑19 wards, documenting complex paediatric surgery and working with hundreds of contributors in ethically challenging contexts.
As audiences increasingly shift from traditional broadcast to digital‑first platforms, there is growing demand for high‑quality, responsible storytelling for web and social channels. Kate Hemingway is well placed to respond, combining broadcast experience with end‑to‑end production, media training and educational partnerships.
Incubator support
Kate joined Thrive to accelerate the growth of the healthcare arm of her business. Having worked extensively in the sector, she recognised the need for trusted, well‑structured platforms to help healthcare organisations share their stories responsibly.
Thrive provided the clarity, structure and professional network needed to translate her senior media background into a focused, scalable business. The support has led to meaningful collaborations, high‑value opportunities and a strong commercial foundation, enabling a successful transition from corporate media to an independent, sustainable venture.
Outcome and impact
Through one‑to‑one mentoring and structured support, Thrive helped strengthen the commercial positioning of Kate Hemingway Media, enabling clearer articulation and monetisation of its broadcast expertise. This has improved proposals, client confidence and the professional infrastructure needed to support growth.
The business is now scaling in response to increased demand, with new collaborations, apprenticeships, specialist technology investment and long‑term retainer partnerships with charities and organisations in the health and education sectors. Recognition through a Media and Entertainment award further reflects its early impact.
Looking ahead, Kate’s focus remains on building long‑term influence through education, media training and integrity‑led storytelling, positioning her business as a trusted partner within sensitive sectors.
