HerPathway™ | Supporting women through life, work and wellbeing

Founded by Huddersfield entrepreneur SJ Adams, HerPathway™ is a digital wellbeing platform designed to support women through key life and career transitions. Combining micro-coaching, reflection and practical tools, the platform is helping women build confidence and resilience while supporting employers to create more inclusive workplaces.

Challenge/ Opportunity

Women often face life and career transitions that can impact their confidence, wellbeing and progression at work. Experiences such as maternity, menopause, caring responsibilities and returning to work can leave women feeling unsupported at key moments in their lives.

To address this, Huddersfield founder SJ Adams created HerPathway™, a digital platform designed to provide practical, accessible support while helping employers better understand the factors influencing wellbeing, inclusion and progression.

Incubator Support

HerPathway™ has been supported by the Huddersfield Health Innovation Incubator, through business and product development support and mentoring, alongside the University of Huddersfield Enterprise Team, Alan Lewis Seed Fund, Kirklees Business Team and technology partner Seeai.

More than 300 women have helped shape the platform, ensuring it reflects real experiences and challenges faced in everyday life and work.

HerPathway™ was selected as a finalist in the Mayor of West Yorkshire’s Tackling Health Inequalities Challenge, which helped accelerate the platform through user insight, co-production and prototype development.

Outcome and impact

In just 12 months, HerPathway™ has progressed from an early-stage idea to a workplace wellbeing platform preparing to launch employer pilots across West Yorkshire.

Designed to support women through key life and career transitions, the platform uses digital micro-coaching tools to help build confidence, resilience and self-awareness. The pilot programme marks a significant milestone for founder SJ Adams and will provide valuable insight into the platform’s impact within workplace settings.

Following recognition at the Yorkshire Black Business Awards 2026 and a shortlist placing at the Black Healthcare Awards 2026, HerPathway is now focused on growing its reach and helping more women thrive at work and beyond.

The longer-term ambition is to create a scalable digital workplace wellbeing platform that can work alongside employers, NHS organisations, universities, public bodies and other partners to support healthier and more inclusive workplaces.

“ HerPathway™ started with a simple question: what would happen if women had the right support at the moments they need it most? We are now taking that vision into workplaces and helping organisations create environments where women can thrive.”
